Product Description

Rounding out Sony’s compact near ir product line is the model XC-EI50. Virtually identical to the model XC-EI30, the EI50 version has a 1/2-inch format CCD sensor. The EI50 sports the same compact light weight (50 gram) design which allows it to endure high-g vibration environments. It is a very popular choice for dynamic applications such mounting to a robotic arm.

The near IR sensitivity reaches into the 1,000 nanometer range which makes it a perfect choice for surface inspection with IR illumination, revealing details not visible to manual inspection and QC practices.

The XC-EI50 was designed with very flexible external trigger configurations, and microswitches on the camera back panel provide allow shutter speed and gain to be selected manually if an external pulse control is not used.

One thing to note in this compact design, the BNC connector provided for video output on the ST series cameras has been removed to conserve space. All input and output signals are accessed via the industry standard 12-pin Hirose connector.

XC-EI50 Features:

  • High sensitivity using the 1/2″ CCD with HAD technology
  • All controls outside the camera
  • Simplified and flexible trigger
  • Smallest and lightest, one piece analog B/W video camera offered by Sony
  • Excellent vibration and shock characteristics (10G / 70G)
  • Small and light weight power adaptor (DC-700/700CE)
